Bex offers the same, high quality, in-house art copying and giclee printing service which she uses to produce her own prints to her fellow artists. Using a fully equipped professional photographic studio she produces high resolution, colour matched images suitable for giclee printing.
Artwork is copied from her home studio in Winslow. Work can also be photographed “in-situ” if it cannot be moved, please contact me for a quote in this situation.
Frames must be removed for image capture but may be used for protection during transport, if supplying images in frames, please ensure that they are unsealed and the artwork is easily removed prior to delivery.
Images are captured using either a high-resolution 36mpx camera and super-sharp 60mm lens after which colours are automatically calibrated using the X-rite colour checker system. Smaller, flat/un-textured works can be scanned at upto 600dpi using an Epson Expression 12000XL calibrated scanner.
Prints are produced by ZigZag Art, a local printer based in the Claydons who also supplies prints directly to industry. ZigZag Art operates an Epson Sure Colour P10000 wide format printer which uses the new Epson 10-colour ink set (including Photo and Matte Blacks) to produce fantastic looking prints. This is an exceptional printer for black & white photography and drawings but also produces stunning results with colour photography and artwork. This printer will print up to 44 inches wide so A2, A1 and AO sizes are easily accommodated.
A wide choice of media is available from stock ranging from a good quality heavy weight matte paper through to premium satin and lustre photo papers and a bright white smooth matte fine art paper perfect for watercolours and drawings. Printing on canvas is also an option and other papers can be sourced too if required.
Once your image is captured, calibrated and your invoice is paid it will be sent to you directly through wetransfer. Bex will also keep a backup copy of this image for safety for a minimum of 12 months unless asked otherwise. You can then use online printing services or go directly to Paul at ZigZag Art to produce your prints.
